Our Community

AGP Community Project

This is a community programme that reaches to both members of Celestial church of Christ Amazing Grace parish (AGP) and to local Southwark community.

The support we provide is inclusive.

OUR CURRENT PROJECT

DUE TO COVID 19 EPIDEMIC WE HAVE FOCUSED ALL OUR EFFORTS IN WORKING WITH OTHER ORGANISATIONS TO ELIMINATE FOOD POVERTY AND SCARCITY IN SOUTHWARK.

We provided nutritional balanced food for 900 people in Southwark since March 2020.

Our referrals can be self referred by completing an online application form. We work with organisations like Southwark Community mental health, Blackfriars resettlement, Faiths women community, Southwark Refugee and Southwark council.

Our priorities are those living in Southwark and vulnerable (over 60 years, in isolation because of Covid 19, those with underlining conditions and those on benefit).

We provide  the non food essentials like sanitary pad, toiletries, pampers, wipes, hand soap etc

KeepALife Project

KeepALife is a new project launched in Peckham area, with young people at its core, in response to the knife killing going on around us especially in London borough of Southwark. This will be expanded to all boroughs with a hope of a national launch in the future. It is part of Celestial Church of Christ Amazing Grace Parish (AGP) community project. We use a strengths-based approach to deliver innovative and engaging programmes to inspire our young people.

The aim of the project to is to raise champions among the community through education, support and mentoring. These champions will then support the process of engaging within their own community to raise more Champions. Our Champions develop the skills and experience necessary to be leaders in their community and to create positive social change.
