Ecclesiastes 12:11-14
The book of Ecclesiastes was written by King Solomon, in His old age. When he had finally understood the meaning of life; which is to love God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength and with all your mind.
Luke 10:27 says, “Love thy neighbour as thyself”.

King Solomon tells us that God’s words are as goads, which are there to guide us. A goad is a tool which the shepherd used to stop the sheep from going in the wrong direction.

The word of God being our foundation, upholding us upright.

THE IMPORTANCE OF PREACHING IN THE HOUSE OF GOD.

V 12- I refer you back to Luke 10:27
As Christians, we question life too much like the Babylonians, trying to build a tower to Heaven. Scientists are wasting millions of pounds and dollars, man power and time, yet, finding no answers.

V13-14. Here Solomon concluded LIFE for us, and this is his advice :
– Ask yourself, do you really fear God?
– All the Big names we call our God, yet sin is always our motive.
– He talks about why we should fear God, in order to live a prolonged life. Proverbs 10:27
– Matthew 10:28 Jesus Christ is our Lord and personal saviour. Do not fear the word and what it can do; but fear HIM, who is able to destroy both body and soul.

God is the ultimate shepherd. V 14- God will bring every work into judgement.

In conclusion, Look at the lives of sheeps. Sheeps don’t strive but they follow the shepherd in FAITH. Control what you can, which are your actions. Leave the rest to God, he will never let you down. So let us fear God, for there is a great reward in keeping God’s commandments.

I pray that as the word of God states about fearing God; our lives will be prolonged and may we have knowledge in Jesus name. Amen.
